This talk is to introduce the “joint PhD program” offered by City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and Central South University under the Mainland Collaboration Scheme. The main purposes of the joint PhD program include, among other things, strengthening our links with Central South University, capitalizing on both institutions’ research facilities and resources, and facilitating research collaboration. It can also help to enrich the student’s international study experiences. The talk will cover the guidelines and administrative procedures, such as admission, study period, coursework requirements, etc. A brief introduction on the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering will be given. Upon satisfactory completion of study and having fulfilled all the prescribed requirements, the student will be conferred a PhD degree by CityU for successful completion of the joint program with Central South University.
